*** LIDC ANNUAL CONGRESS 2025  ***

Vienna, 9-12 October
 

Digital and Green Change as well as other current subjects like Sports, Dark Patterns, FSR and FDI, Branded Products, Artificial Intelligence and Unitary Patent will be in the legal focus of antitrust, intellectual property and unfair commercial practices. The congress will take place in the historic House of Industry near the city centre of Vienna, whose special Art Nouveau halls and spacious entrance area are exclusively available to the LIDC. After the Keynote Speeches - on current developments in competition law from an European and US perspective - the Panel Discussions, some of which will run in parallel, offer a varied programme all day Friday and Saturday morning. The Annual Questions regarding relative market power and responsibility of online platforms as well as the international reports on them will be discussed on Saturday.

The congress begins on Thursday evening with a Welcome Cocktail and a NEX GEN Event open to all. This is followed by the working days and an exciting evening program, including a Flying Buffet in the Gloriette of Schönbrunn Palace on Friday evening and a Gala dinner in the Wiener Konzerthaus (Vienna Concert Hall) with live music and dancing on Saturday evening. On Sunday there is the opportunity to take part in an Excursion to the famous Museum at Belvedere Palace. An attractive Programme for Accompanying Persons is also offered.
